The Galapagos can be a complex destination to plan a trip since one really needs to know which boat matches the right traveler. This requires of hands –on expertise and we have over 10 years customizing trips for couples, small groups and families to this magical part of the world.

Latin Excursions, our main travel services company that manages Galapagos Excursions, is an award winning travel consulting company (Awarded "Travel + Leisure's A-List Travel Consultants for 2005, 2006 & 2007") specializing in the Galapagos Islands

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Miami, Florida, we have regional offices in Latin America which allow us to offer you exceptional quality in all our services and all the local support you require. While our travel specialists are meticulous in anticipating every eventuality, we also give our local guides the authority to make decisions on the fly based on their superior understanding of the context and needs of our travelers.

Our approach to travel offers the opportunity to slow down and take part in something that is authentic, meaningful and real. We avoid what has become a part of modern tourism (large impersonal group travel and packages)and instead seek out experiences that resonate with authentic local life carried on according to its own natural rhythm.

We believe that life is to be enjoyed and to be discovered, and we take our greatest pleasure in sharing our discoveries with you. We do not use traditional tour guides, but rather specialists in distinguished fields. For special interests such as photography or bird watching, we could arrange to have a local expert in each field guide you through some of the magical natural wonders in both Ecuador (and if time allows, Peru as well). These are just a few examples to the degree we go to offer the finest possible service. Be it a private dinner request in Machu Picchu or a special dive request to see a particular marine mammal, each experience will be a memorable one.

Founded by Eric Sheets, a former US banker and now a passionate nature lover, our energetic staff has personally been on 99% of the boats that work in the Galapagos and we have chosen those on this website based on the quality of guides, safety standards of each boat, and the environmental conservation policy as well. Guides are the most important element in choosing a Galapagos experience (or any natural history excursion for that matter) and we only work with those boats that have excellent guiding quality. The quality of the guides in the Galapagos has diminished and we think that our expertise will help match the right boat for you and your family. We will be happy to share our expertise. Galapagos Excursions was founded under the business ideals of becoming an agent of change thus only supporting and working with those boats and land operators that share our similar values of working to preserve the Galapagos, rather than just simply using them for business benefit. Our company strongly believes that it can make a difference by:

1) working only with those boats and organizations that do not import employees from mainland Ecuador (thus contributing to the population growth on the islands).

2) We have meticulously interviewed all the boat companies we work with to make sure they have in place internal policies that promote environmental conservation such as minimizing waste, recycling programs, and observe strict sustainable island visitation practices.
