Diving in GalapagosDiving in the Galapagos Islands – one of the world’s premier diving destinations – has never been so easy. A few days spent exploring the enchanting underwater sites of the Galapagos is highly recommended for travelers – even for beginners! Programs are available from all dive skill levels, from beginner to experienced divers. For adventure-seeking travelers, diving in Galapagos is a memorable experience and a highlight of a Galapagos visit.
This program is an introduction for first time divers or out-of-practice divers who want to ease into diving. Begin with an introduction to diving techniques and equipment before setting out to experience your first three dives! You’ll find out first hand why the Galapagos has been named one of the Seven Underwater Wonders of the World!
Your first dive is at Academy Bay, the calmest dive site in the Galapagos, with superb visibility and little current, ideal for students and novices. Your instructor will review breathing techniques and walk you through the diving basics. Once you’ve had a chance to get comfortable with the diving techniques learned in your introduction course, the next day you will have two more dives at North Seymour Island.
